"You'll be the first to know."
"Doesn't matter, I'm sure you'll find out in due time. I could have. But I just couldn't." She looked down, not looking in his eyes. "I want to save everyone. Everyone deserves to be saved. And yes. I am a person, not a great one, at least not yet." She smiled softly. "And nothing's wrong with being a wandered as long as you're not wandering alone."
"It's hard not too when you're so.." She bit her bottom lip, "you." She kissed him again, harder this time.

"Fantastic."
"And please, Alaska, you probably couldn't have okay." Augustus lifted her chin so he could look at her. "I know you want to, but you can't. And no, you're already great. Trust me okay." He returned the smile, pulling her closer. "I will wander the world with you, Alaska Young."
"Me?" he asked, tilting his head. "There's nothing great about me." When he felt her taking more charge in the kiss, although he enjoyed it, Gus had to pull away.
"My love. Let me take you out on a proper date first. I feel as though I'm using you otherwise," Augustus explained.

"You don't know that." Alaska shook her head, trying to keep her cool. "I want to try, Augustus, I couldn't even do that." She looked at the boy holding her, and studied his face, looking at all it's features, all it's curves. Who was this boy? How and why did they click the way they did? "That." She grinned, "Is something I could get used to."
"What isn't great about you?" She raised an eyebrow at him. She furrowed her eyebrows at him pulling away.
"Sounds like a plan, Waters. Where are you taking me?"

"I do," he murmured. "Alaska, then you try again." Augustus grinned at her before kissing her forehead. "Good, because I wasn't taking no for an answer."
Gus looked up in thought. "Pretty much everything," he admitted.
He grinned at her before taking her hand in his and beginning to walk. "Somewhere special."

"Whatever you say..." She gave up fighting him. "Why would I ever say no?" She grinned at him, chuckling softly.
"Well, how about I get to show you every single thing that's great about you?" She smiled at him, and kissed his nose, standing on her tiptoes.
"Alright, so is this some sort of surprise date?" She smiled, and followed after him.

"I see I win," he spoke, a smile on his face. "And I knew you wouldn't, but you know."
Augustus raised his eyebrows. "Oh?" he asked, scrunching his nose after he kissed her. "You're gonna have an easy job because there's nothing to show."
He shrugged his shoulders. "Possibly," he told her, bringing their conjoined hands up to his lips and pressing a kiss to hers.

"You do not win. I never lose." She smiled, "you just got lucky this time." She raised her eyebrows, "Aha, with the cockiness, hmm." She smirked at him.
"I think I'll prove you wrong." She smiled, "Exhibit A. That nose scrunch thing. Too cute not to be great." She shrugged.
"Alright, I'm okay with that." She couldn't stifle the little girl giggle that escaped her throat as he kissed her hand.

"I do win," he pointed out. "And I'm with you, so yeah, I did get lucky." Augustus mirrored her raised eyebrows and shook his head. "Not cocky. Well, maybe a little."
"Oh?" Gus put his head in the crook of her neck and scrunched his nose again. He then laughed and kissed her cheek. "Yeah? Cute, eh?"
"You sure?" he kept walking, their arms swinging. "You're actually too cute."

"Keep telling yourself that," She smiled at him, "I disagree, but cockiness can look good on people. In small amounts, anyway."
"Yes!" She couldn't stop chucking at him, "Way too cute." She kissed his cheek back. Her hand brushed her pocket, and she felt the rectangle box of her cigarettes, and closed her eyes, deciding that smoking might ruin whatever was happening.
"Totally sure." She assured him. "Me? No way."

"Oh I will," he informed her. "And does it look nice on me?" Augustus posed and smiled at her.
"You're cuter," he murmured as he pulled her close. He smiled as she kissed her cheek back.
Augustus pointed to the park illuminated with lights. "We're here, darling." He looked down at her and grinned, admiring every single inch of her.

"I'm 98% positive that absolutely anything would look goo on you." She grinned, and ran a hand through her hair.
"I don't see how you could come up with that solution but..." She trailed off, still smiling at him.
"This is either a very convenient coincidence or you've ben stalking me and this is the place I'll be killed." She joked around. She saw him looking at her, and cocked her head, "What're you looking at?"

"It's a good thing it's only 98% because I wear really ugly sweaters during Christmas time," he informed her, grimacing at the thought of his sweaters which he wears as a novelty item.
"It's true though, look how beautiful you look," Augustus told her, kissing the top of her head. He looked around and rolled his eyes.
"Just a secret place, love. It's always like this. I thought you'd like it," he told Alaska. When she asked what he was looking at, he couldn't keep in the laughter.
"You, Alaska. All of you. Just didn't think perfection actually existed," he murmured.

"Well I happen to really love ugly Christmas sweaters and may or may not have 17 of them in my suitcases." she smiles at him, feeling her nose do that ugly stupid wrinkling this it only did when she was really happy.
"You're wonderfully cheesy, love." she shook her head and felt the warmth of his kiss radiate through her.
"Good to know you aren't a creepy stalker, very reassuring"
"That's probably the nicest thing anyone's said to me before." her voice got very low, lower than a whisper. With him she felt safe, whole.

"Good, now we can match," he laughed. He noted her nose wrinkle and he smiled lovingly. "Mhm, you were right. Nose scrunches are really cute."
"Cheesy. I happen to really like cheese. Cheesy is a compliment so thank you," Gus told her.
"A stalker?" he gasped, holding a hand to his heart. "My dear Alaska, the fact that you would even consider that breaks my heart. You can even hear it."
"Really?" he questioned, pulling her close to him. "Honestly, you should've been told that a million times before. They were lying to themselves if they said otherwise."

"I'm gagging at the thought," She laughed, "Definitely not cute, you're weird."
"I agree, cheesy is good. Very good. You're cheesy, and I like it." She kissed his nose.
"You're not a stalker though, and that's what counts, Gussy poo." She grinned, and pressed her ear up to his chest, messing around. "I don't hear a thing."
She felt her insides swell and get all warm. "Now how in the hell did I find you?" She looked up at him, smiling at him.
